Evasive action kills janitor in QC

Instead of saving his life, the evasive action a man took ended up killing him the other day on Payatas Road, Quezon City. Melanio Uson, a 42-year-old janitor, died after he jumped off a delivery truck when the driver announced that the vehicle had lost its brakes. The truck’s rear wheels, however, ran over the victim’s right leg and crushed it, an injury which resulted in his death. Traffic investigators said yesterday that negotiations were underway between the victim’s relatives and the truck owner and the results would determine if a criminal charge may end up being filed in court.   Jeannette I.
