MANILA, Philippines — A feverish President Benigno Aquino III showed up at a meeting with local leaders in Quezon City on Thursday.

Transportation Secretary Manuel “Mar” Roxas III, who introduced the President, said Aquino came despite his fever.

No senatorial bet of the President’s Team PNoy, showed up, however, at the multi-purpose building of  Quirino Elementary School in Anonas Street, Barangay (village) Quirino.

The event started at around 9 a.m. and ended immediately after  the President gave his 10-minute speech.

Aside from the President and Roxas, present were Senator Franklin Drilon, campaign manager of Team PNoy; Speaker Feliciano Belmonte, and some local candidates.

In his speech,  Belmonte made another push for a 12-0 for Team PNoy.

“Si Sonny Belmonte 100 percent for 12-0 (for) Team PNoy,” the Speaker said.

“Kaya ba natin ang 12-0?” he asked the crowd, who answered “yes”.

“Pag nagawa natin yan, ok na ako.
Pag hindi natin nagawa yan, masama ang  loob ko sa inyo,” Belmonte added.
