A female caller told Radio station dySS last night reported that the adopted son of Mayor Socrates Fernandez was seen being whisked into a Mitsubishi Adventure van near the detention center of the Talisay City Police Station.

A dySS reporter who went inside the detention center confirmed that Joavan was no longer in his cell.

Joavan was arrested on Monday night in front of his father’s house in barangay Bulacao three weeks after he became the subject of a manhunt for allegedly shooting a car shop watchman. He was served a warrant for a previous case of slight physical injuries.
