DAR turns over farm tools to Bohol towns

THE Department of Agrarian Reform in Bohol distributed farming equipment to the three municipalities of Bohol as part of the agency’s Agrarian Reform Community Connectivity and Economic Support Services (ARCCESS) program.

Thirty-one common service facilities (CSF) worth more than P6 million were turned over to Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOS) in the towns of Alicia and Antequera on April 16 and San Miguel on April 17.

DAR Undersecretary Felix Perry Villanueva witnessed the turnover and the signing of agreements entered into by the Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer Dr. Antonio del Socorro and the respective chairpersons of beneficiary groups.

In Alicia, Jocelyn Golosino, chairperson of the Cambaol Farmers Multi-purpose Cooperative, accepted the one FT rice combine harvester and two hand tractors that cost more than P2 million.

In the same venue, a common service facility for coffee production worth over P700,000 was received by Conrado Dagan, chairperson of the Bantolinao Multi-purpose Cooperative.

The bulk of the first batch of release under the ARCCESS project was on April 17 in San Miguel town. Felix Lucip, chairperson of the Kahugpungan Sa mga Igsoong nag Lawig sa Kalambuan Multi-purpose Cooperative expressed gratitude for the release of 12 rice threshers and 15 hand tractors totaling to P3.621 million.
