Delta, Hotel win in Cekalco

TEAM Delta trounced Foxtrot, 98-90, in overtime for its 2nd win in three games (2-1), while Hotel nipped Ivanhoe, 99-95, Saturday night to improve to 1-1 in the Seniors division of the CEKALCO-2013, Mayor Mike Rama Cup basketball tournament.

Delta led in the first three quarters before Foxtrot unloaded a 22-13 bomb in the fourth to tie the count at 79-all at the end of regulation, sending the game into overtime.

In the extension period, Delta outscored Foxtrot 19-11 for the win.

Juniel Villarosa and Julius Gutierez led Delta with 29 and 26 points while Erik Yee and Ruel Dacuyan paced the winless Foxtrot (0-3) with 28 and 22 markers.

In the other game, Hotel beat Ivanhoe, 99-95, to tie their victims at 1-1.

Kelvin Cinco and Dodong Soco powered Hotel with 36 and 19 points, respectively, while Raffy Panerio paced Ivanhoe with 33 markers.
