MANILA, Philippines—It’s still summer but expect gloomy skies in southern Mindanao due to the effects of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) over the area, the state weather bureau said.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) predicted cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms over Soccsksargen and the Zamboanga peninsula.
On the other hand, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening, Pagasa said.
