President Aquino-Congress meeting Aug. 16

For the second time since coming into office last year, President Benigno Aquino III will meet with congressional leaders next week to firm up a common legislative agenda they will push for this year.

The second Legislative Executive Development Advisory Council (Ledac) meeting will convene on Aug. 16, deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said on Thursday.

At presstime, Valte said the Palace was still drawing up a list of priority measures that it will ask Congress to immediately approve.
