Mandaluyong fire destroys 10 houses
A total of 10 families were left homeless and while P2 million worth of property went up in flames as a blaze engulfed a row of houses in Mandaluyong City on Saturday afternoon.
Information from the Fire District 4 headquarters in Pasig City showed that the fire broke out in a residential area at the corner of Shaw Boulevard and Mabini Street in Barangay (village) Addition Hills.
The blaze started at 2 p.m. on the second floor of the house occupied by Eulanda Gubat, Telipa Tangcogo and Regine Cuervo.
It spread quickly to 10 other houses in the area and displaced 10 families. It was put out an hour later and no deaths or injuries were reported by firefighters.
