The 18th Divine Mercy convention for Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will be held at the University of Cebu Maritime Education and Training Center (UC-METC) in Mambaling, Cebu City on May 18 and 19 with the theme “Jesus invites us to believe and proclaim His mercy.”
Registration of delegates will begin at 7 a.m. on May 18.
Fr. Mario Vitor will start the morning session with an opening prayer and welcome address.
Fr. Buenaventura Valles from the Franciscan of Divine Mercy will end the morning session with a Holy Mass.
In the afternoon, delegates from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will go on a pilgrimage tour of the Divine Mercy Shrine in barangay Cansojong, Talisay City to venerate the miraculous image of the Black Nazarene and the relic of Saint Faustina.
On the morning of May 19, different speakers will discuss the many aspects of Divine Mercy. The day will cap with a Holy Mass by Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma.
The speakers are Fr. Marco Vitor, father superior of the Society of the Angel of Peace, Archdiocese of Cebu; Fr. Jose Rizal Santos, SVD, Katurikku Kagoshima Shikyo-ku, Japan; Fr. Lucas Inoc, spiritual director of Divine Mercy, Archdiocese of Cebu; Fr. Louino Alejandro from the Archdiocese of Zamboanga; Dr. Rene Bullecer, Pontifical Council on Health Care, Vatican City, Rome; former pastor Bro. Noe Dora and Fr. Victor Bompat from the Diocese of Tagbilaran.
