BEIJING — A local government official says a house collapsed in central China crushing at least four people fatally and burying an unknown number of others.

The official with the Yanjin county government said dozens of people in Hedao village were moving a two-story house, lifting it from its foundation Friday morning when the structure collapsed. In addition to the four dead, the official, who gave his surname as Zheng, says others were buried.

State media reports say 37 people were working at the site and that unspecified dozens were buried.
