Armed burglar hits fire bureau office

A lone thief broke into an office at the Bureau of Fire Protection’s (BFP) national headquarters in Quezon City Thursday morning.

Based on the footage taken by a closed-circuit television camera installed on the premises, the burglar got into the office on the fourth floor through a window.

The break-in happened at 12:30 a.m. Thursday, according to BFP officer in charge Chief Supt. Carlito Romero. It took just 30 minutes for the thief to clean out the Emergency Medical Services Office.

He took three laptop computers and a briefcase owned by Senior Supt. Joseph Rareza.

The thief who was armed with a bladed weapon was described as dressed in a pair of shorts and shirt while he had another shirt covering his face.
