Parents of abandoned kids sought

/ 08:20 AM May 01, 2013

THE Parian Drop-in Center is requesting the public’s assistance in locating the whereabouts of the parents of abandoned children.

A baby girl identified only as Janice, estimated to be 3-years old, was referred to the center last March 21 by the gender and development focal person of barangay San Nicolas, Cebu City. She was seen walking alone near the Gothong National High School.

Another girl, around 10-years old, was referred to the center by the Department of Social Welfare and Development in Central Visayas on Jan. 30, 2007. She was seen roaming around sitio Landing, barangay Catarman, Lilo-an town, northern Cebu when rescued.  The girl can’t give her name nor the place where she comes from. She only mentioned two names Dodong and Amalia, but they are not her parents.

The Parian Drop-in Center is requesting the public and the relatives of these children to contact social worker Romulo Velasquez at 2557937 or visit the center on Sikatuna Street, Cebu City.
