A LONE armed man carjacked the vehicle of a sales manager of a pharmaceuticals company then took close to P200,000 cash kept in the vehicle.
The carjacking incident happened past 1 p.m. Monday in barangay Linao, Talisay City, southern Cebu.
Jonathan Royo, 38, said he parked his car by the roadside while waiting for his friend Alan Yap, who owns an agriculture and veterinary stores.
Royo told police he and Yap were already inside the car and was about to leave when an armed man appeared and opened the door in the driver’s side.
The two victims were forced off the car.
The man then drove off, leaving Royo and Yap behind, police said.
Roya and Yap reported the incident to the Talisay City Police Office.
In a follow-up operation, operatives of the Talisay police found the car abandoned in barangay Lawaan I.
Royo told police that his P30,000 cash and his Oakley shades worth P8,500 kept in the car were missing.
Yap said the culprit took his P151,000 cash.
