CARPENTER FALLS TO HIS DEATH

A CARPENTER died after he fell from the scaffolding in a construction site in barangay Pari-an, Cebu City on Monday night.

Police said Rico Lee, 48, was on the scaffolding gave way and collapsed on him.

Tthe scaffolding was made of steel bars.

BOY ‘SHOOTS’ SELF

AN eight-year-old boy accidentally shot himself while playing with a gun which he found outside their house in barangay Tongco, San Fernando town, southern Cebu.

The boy was wounded in the leg. He was brought by his father to the Carcar District Hospital.

The father told police that his son found a .22 caliber revolver loaded with five bullets outside their house on Sunday night.

Thinking it was a toy, the boy tinkered with the gun.

The father turned the gun over to barangay councilman Basilio dela Cruz, who then brought the gun to the Cebu Provincial Police Office.

LABORER STABBED WITH A PEN

A CONSTRUCTION worker stabbed a carpenter with a ballpen after they argued in  a drinking session in barangay Liong, Dumanjug town, southern Cebu.

Dario Cateraja, 39, is facing frustrated homicide charges for attacking Marlou Baya, 39.

Police said the two men were already drunk when they argued Sunday night,

FACTORY WORKER KILLED IN ROAD MISHAP

A 26-YEAR-OLD-YEAR factory worker was killed after he was hit by a speeding motorcycle in barangay Tungkil, Minglanilla town, southern Cebu.

Ardel Obordo, a native of Zamboanga del Norte, was walking home on Monday dawn when he was hit by a motorcycle driven by 23-year-old Jeffrey Ubenario.

Obordo was brought to the town’s hospital. He was transferred to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center where he later died, police said.
