PBARS 7th leg in Pampanga
TOP SHUTTLERS Toby Gadi and Bianca Carlos try to keep their dominance over the rest of the field as they lead the cast in the P1 million MVP Sports Foundation-Philippine Badminton Ranking System (PBaRS) seventh leg, which fires off Friday at the Excel Badminton Center in San Fernando, Pampanga.
The packed roster has nearly 400 players signing up for the five-day competition, bannered by several members of the national team playing side by side with the country’s up-and-rising players for recognition and precious ranking points at stake.
Gadi and Carlos, both of Golden Shuttle Foundation, swept the premier Open singles titles in last year’s staging of the annual event and both are raring to keep their reign against a slew of equally talented rivals, headed by Paul Vivas, Peter Magnaye, Patrick Natividad and Charlo Tengco in the men’s singles competition./Correspondent Jonas Panerio
