Rama’s season-high 67 pts lifts Team Rama in friendly

CEBU City Mayor Mike Rama scored a season-high 67 points to power Team Rama to a, 128-111 demolition of Hipodromo All Stars in a friendly basketball game Friday night in brgy. Hipodromo.

Team Rama trailed by two points in the opening period, 26-24, with Hipodromo All Stars Gilbert Demape, a former PBA standout Lito Aniñon leading the hosts.

But Team Rama tied the score at the half, 54-all then outscored Hipodromo, 33-29 in the third for a 4-point lead, 87-83, heading to the final quarter.

Mayor Rama took matters into his hands in the fourth where he scored 28 points for his team’s 17-point victory.

Mayor Rama led Team Rama with a tournament-high 67 points spiked by 21 trifectas while Gilbert Demape paced Hipodromo All Stars with 22 markers.
