Fire put out at informal settlers community in QC

MANILA, Philippines—The fire which hit a community of informal settlers in Quezon City has been put out, a Bureau of Fire Protection-National Capital Region officer said.

Senior Fire Officer 2 Benny Balingit said the fire that blazed through makeshift houses on Barangay (village) Bahay Toro in Quezon City was put out at 11:15 a.m.

A Task Force Bravo alarm was raised at 9:55 a.m. in the incident which started at 9:27 a.m.

At least 10 firetrucks were sent to douse the fire, he said.

There were no reports of injuries, he said.
