MANILA, Philippines – The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority reminded the public Tuesday that the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program, or the number coding scheme, will be lifted Wednesday as the country celebrates Labor Day.
In a twitter post, MMDA said the number coding rule was automatically lifted in the whole of Metro Manila during regular holidays, such as Labor Day.
“No exceptions,” the MMDA noted.
Under the number coding scheme, vehicles with plate numbers ending in 5 and 6 are not allowed in major thoroughfares from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. every Wednesday.
