New head for Inquirer Megamobile

The Inquirer’s Megamobile has a new president.

Anjo Mendoza, formerly the company’s chief operating officer, has been appointed president of Inquirer Megamobile effective May 2.

Launched in 2005, Megamobile is the mobile development unit of the Inquirer Group of Companies (IGC) that provides mobile and digital applications for various platforms to implement the IGC’s digital strategy for tablets, smartphones and other mobile devices.

Mendoza was the company’s founder and codeveloped the business plan and strategy for mobile called “Content + Communications for Communities.”

A business economics graduate of the University of the Philippines (UP), he has over 20 years of experience in the field of mobile and telecommunications. He was also the managing director of FingerApps Inc. and Brandscape Inc., and sits on the board of the Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines.

Mendoza holds a master’s degree in technology management from UP.
