Vehicular accident on Edsa northbound lane causes heavy traffic—MMDA

MANILA, Philippines – A collision involving two buses and a car along the northbound lane of Edsa occurred Thursday morning, causing heavy traffic, Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) officer said.

The accident involved a Pitbull bus with plate number TYS 396, a Lucena bus with plate number UVE 347 and a private car with plate number VECH 225 and registered to one Maila Serrano, identified as a fiscal.

The incident happened in front of Poveda College in Mandaluyong at around 11 a.m., said MMDA Metrobase officer Jayvee de Mesa.

He said the area has not been cleared because Serrano did not want the vehicles moved until a policeman arrives.

As of posting time, motorists are experiencing heavy traffic from the stretch of Ayala to Poveda, the MMDA said.
