POLICE yesterday released another sketch or facial composite of the gunman who fatally shot Crisanta Lauro, live in partner of Pio V. Corpus town Mayor Herminigildo Betonio III of Masbate.
Leny Betonio-Eser, the mayor’s sister who was with Lauro during the shooting, described the gunman as having a medium-built and was in his early 30s.
Eser said he couldn’t distinguish the height of the gunman since he was on a blue motorcycle during the ambush.
A first sketch of the gunman was released two weeks ago but Eser said the facial features were wrong.
The first sketch also led to the arrest of a man, who was later released after Eser told police he wasn’t the one who attacked them on April 15 along V. Gullas Street, Cebu City.
Eser described the man in the second sketch as having similar features to the man who attacked them,” said Insp. Manuel Cañete, chief of the Homicide Section in Cebuano.
Lauro and Eser were shot by two unidentified assailants an hour after arriving in Cebu City from Masbate two weeks ago./Correspondent Chito O. Aragon
