Don Bosco bags 3 category titles in BRO football
Don Bosco recovered from a sluggish performance last Friday and hoisted three titles yesterday in the resumption of the 2nd BRO Nationals Football Festival at the Aboitiz Sports Field in Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
Don Bosco (DB BRO 1999) won the Boys 15, Players 7 and Boys 11 crowns.
In the Boys 15, DB BRO 1999 took the title by winning all of its two games in the final round robin.
The champion team in a category that only had three brackets was decided by letting the top teams play in a single round robin format. The team with the most number of wins got the title.
After a 1-0 win against Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC), DB BRO 1999 took out the scalp of Subangdaku FC, 2-1, via a penalty shootout with the regulation ending scoreless.
The Subangdaku FC was manned by some members of the Philippine Under 14 otherwise known as the Little Azkals.
