Of all the things they could steal from a resort, they picked the very devices that caught them in the act.

A tattoo artist and his two cohorts were arrested the other day in Quezon City for allegedly stealing two surveillance cameras—which were able to capture their faces during the theft.

Erick Garcia, 29, and his friends John Espelita and Jaymark Julian, both 22, were apprehended in Novaliches after taking two cameras from Cora’s Garden Resort on Balagtas Street, Barangay Sta. Lucia, around 2 a.m. Thursday, according to Quezon City Police District– Fairview station commander Supt. Eleazar Matta.

The resort owner, Cora Planas, happened to be watching video feeds from the camera on a monitor at the very moment the suspects were trying to remove them.
