Reward
Police yesterday welcomed the P200,000 reward offer of Pio V. Corpus, Masbate Mayor Hermenigildo Betonio for information on the whereabouts of the killer of his live-in partner, Crisanta Lauro.
Senior Supt. Mariano Natu-el, Cebu City Police Chief, said they were expecting calls from people who would give false information just to get the reward.
He said giving financial rewards would encourage witnesses to come forward but it would also interest people, who would concoct information hoping they could get the reward. /Correspondent Chito O. Aragon
