MANILA, Philippines—The University of the Philippines Alumni Association–School of Urban and Regional Planning Chapter (UPAA-SURP) will host an Earth Day event dubbed “Isang Daang Pitik, Isang Daang Pik: Para sa Kalikasan” at the UP Sunken Garden on Friday, April 26, at 4 p.m.-9 p.m.

Also called the Green Guitar Festival, the event will be held as part of the UPAA centennial celebration.

The festival hopes to gather 10,000 guitarists/guitar enthusiasts to celebrate the gifts of Mother Earth and make an urgent call for the protection of the environment. It also hopes to raise public consciousness on the importance of comprehensive land use planning in environmental protection and management.
