Maguikay bombs Mantuyong in 6th Mayor’s Cup
BARANGAY Maguikay dumped barangay Mantuyong, 84-56, last Sunday for its 4th win in five games, while the latter dropped to 3-2 in the 6th Mandaue City Mayor’s Cup-2013, Inter-barangay 19-U basketball tournament at the Mandaue City Sports Complex.
Maguikay trailed, 16-17 in the first period, but rallied in the 2nd canto with a blistering 29-11 run to post a, 45-28 lead at the half and never looked back.
Two active members of the CIT-U Baby Wildcats, Carl Anthony Patindol and Johner Espina led Maguikay with a game-high 28 and 20 points, respectively while Reign Jay Travero and Brydon Catadman paced Mantuyong with 12 points each.
