DANTE Calipay stole the spotlight in last weekend’s Bowlingplex Tenpin Association (BTA)-PRIMA Bowler of the Month tournament as he topped the April tournament at the Gaisano Bowlingplex at the Gaisano Country Mall.
Calipay’s impressive performance earned him a slot to compete for the coveted Bowler of the Year later this year. He scored 1,271 pinfalls in six games to rule the competition.
Bel Suelto claimed second place after finishing with a total of 1,211 pinfalls. Rounding off the top three was Razel Silva, who scored a total of 1,204 pinfalls. Ronan Barredo settled for fourth (1,165) while Gj Buyco finished fifth (1,159). /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
