Team PNoy concerned with difficulties of 2 senatorial bets
MANILA, Philippines – Team PNoy may have “difficulty” with at least two of its senatorial candidates as one of them could not seem to “connect” with the masses, Senator Antonio “Sonny” Trillanes IV said on Tuesday.
“Right now, based on the information that we have internally, we may have difficulty with at least two,” said Trillanes, who is also running under Team PNoy.
He identified the two as former Senator Jamby Madrigal and former Akbayan Representative Risa Hontiveros, who have not made in the Magic 12 in various surveys.
For some reason, Trillanes said, Hontiveros “can’t seem to have that connection with the masses.”
Another Team PNoy bet, former Senator Ramon “Jun” Magsaysay Jr., has not yet entered the Magic 12 but at least his numbers were picking up, he pointed out.

In fact, a week before the Election Day in 2007, he was only at 15th to 16th spot.
“Let’s just put it this way – from where I’m standing, I can’t possibly admit that they are accurate because they missed out on us,” he said.
Nevertheless, Trillanes said he would continue to work harder and until the last day of the campaign, he said he would try to convince the public that he deserves a fresh mandate.
