Road mishap in Bataan
MANILA, Philippines—An unidentified number of passengers sustained minor injuries from a vehicular accident in Bataan Wednesday morning, police said.
The accident happened at around 8 a.m. along Roman Highway Batangas 2 village Mariveles, Bataan, said Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesman Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz jr.
Investigation revealed that a mini bus with plate number CVC520, carrying 11 passengers, and a red Honda TMX tricycle with plate number 5073, were travelling toward the same direction, with the tricycle leading the way. But the tricycle suddenly swerved into the direction of the bus, resulting in a collision, Cruz said.
The impact knocked the two vehicles to the other side of the road. The Drivers and passengers were taken to the nearest hospital for first aid, but were later released, he said.
The vehicles were impounded, and the drivers are now being investigated by local police.
