THE Ivanhoe-Blue crushed Delta-Violet of Roland “El Presidente” Sameon, 95-84, while Bravo-Pink tripped Alpha-Black, 87-81, Friday night in the Seniors Division of the CEKALCO-2013, Mayor Mike Rama Cup Inter-Color basketball tournament.
In the first game, Ivanhoe-Blue which led, 21-14 in the opening period, tore the game apart with a torrid, 30-16 run in the 2nd stanza to erect a, 50-30 halfime lead and never looked back.
Moises Craso and Ramesh Mulchandani led Ivanhoe-Blue with 22 points apiece while Juniel Villarosa and Julius Gutierez paced the losing Delta with 23 and 22 points, respectively.
In the other game, Alpha-Black led by ten points at the end of the third quarter, 61-51.
However, Bravo-Pink saved its best for last and outscored Alpha-Black, 36-20 in the windup for the six-point win.
Philip Nacar and Ver Maspiñas led Bravo-Pink with 17 and 15 points, respectively, as four other teammates scored in double figures headed by Edward Barellano (14), Bryan Codilla (12), Dondon Tenchavez (12) and Derik Delos Reyes (10).
Kenneth Borromeo and Dondon Yap paced Alpha-Black with 20 points apiece.
