WASHINGTON – Several tornadoes swept the Saint Louis, Missouri area late Friday, blowing out glass at the airport and injuring several people, local media reported.
MSNBC television said an unknown number of people were injured at the Lambert-Saint Louis International Airport. The extent of the injuries was not immediately known.
The injuries were believed to be from flying glass, the report said.
Powerful tornadoes struck several southern and central US states earlier this month killing 44 people and reducing whole neighborhoods to rubble.
