Toddler in Moalboal town drowns in a pail of water

A one year old girl drowned in a half-filled pail of water in barangay Basdiot, Moalboal town, southern Cebu.

Trisibbell Manosor was pronounced dead when she was brought to the Badian District Hospital late Thursday afternoon, P02 Stewart Bayang, investigator of the Moalboal police station, said.

Bayang said prior to the incident, the girl slept with Sally Fuentes in the living room of their house.

Fuentes is the sister of the woman who adopted the girl.

Police said Sally may have been too tired that she didn’t notice that the girl woke up and walked toward the comfort room whose door was left open.

Police said it was Broon’s 16-year old son who found the girl submerged in the water head first.

The girl was first brought to the town’s health center before she was moved to the Badian District Hospital.

Police asked the girl’s original family to have the body examined to determine the cause of death.
