PANTUKAN, Compostela Valley – Governor Arturo Uy on Saturday announced the
suspension of all mining activities in the gold-rush areas of the province in the wake of the Good Friday tragedy in Panganason village here.
Uy said the order, which will not exempt any group, would take effect after his meeting with Pantukan officials.
He said to ensure compliance, he would ask police to enforce the order.
