Vidal wins two golds in PKF tourney

NINE-YEAR-OLD Rafael Vidal bagged two gold medals in last weekend’s  Philippine Karatedo Federation (PKF) National Age Group Championships at the Philsports Arena in Pasig.

Vidal, the son of Team Insular Square International Shotokan Karatedo Foundation (ISKF)-Advance Karatedo Club (AKC) sensei Reynan Vidal, dominated the  8 to 9 years old kata and kumite events.

Vidal is a second placer in last year’s World Shoto Cup held in Cebu  and a gold medalist in the Singapore international open this year.

The winning karatekas, including Vidal,  will compete in the Southeast Asian Karatedo Foundation (SEAKF) karatedo championships today in Clark, Pampanga./CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
