No bail eyed for Greco

The son of the late vice governor Gregorio Sanchez Jr. may languish in jail for sometime once the Cebu police file charges of illegal drug possession before the Cebu City Prosecutor’s Office today.

Supt. Paul Labra II, head of the Regional Intelligence Division of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7), said Leodegreco “Greco” Sanchez was in possession of more than five grams of shabu when collared by police in barangay Mabolo, Cebu City last Friday.

Under the Dangerous Drugs Act of the Philippines, those arrested with more than five grams of drugs cannot post bail. Greco was arrested  with his friend Edward Teves.

Labra said if Greco’s family wants him to be rehabilitated, they can just file a motion in the court. But he said Greco must agree to the rehabilitation.
