BANGON Pilipinas senatorial candidate Eddie Villanueva enjoyed support from candidates of rival Team Rama and Bando Osmeña Pundok Kauswagan (BOPK).
“I believe in the innate goodness of the Filipino voter who can distinguish candidates who have no personal agenda,” Villanueva said.
Villanueva said his platform revolves around good governance and massive agriculture modernization.
Although not performing well in surveys done by Pulse Asia and Social Weather Station, Villanueva said he is encouraged by the warm response of the people to his campaign.
Villanueva’s campaign rally at the Plaza Independencia last night attracted BOPK reelectionists for the City Council Nida Cabrera and Alvin Dizon, and Team Rama’s city council bet Hans Abella joined to endorse Villanueva, a popular christian evangelist. Independent vice gubernatorial candidate Glenn Soco also showed up in the rally.
The operation branch of the Cebu City Police Office estimated the crown to be about 5,000 as of 7:30 p.m.
The rally ended around 9:30 p.m. with candle lighting. /Tweeny M. Malinao, Correspondent
