VALUABLES worth at least P20,000 was destroyed when fire struck a warehouse in barangay Canduman, Mandaue City.
Old furniture, cartons and plastics were kept in the warehouse of H.E. Styropor owned by Montano Ty.
The fire started beside the warehouse where a pile of Styropor was dumped, SFO1 Nilo Cosido of the Mandaue City Fire Department said.
The fire broke out at 12:30 a.m. yesterday and was controlled in eight minutes.
No one was reported injured in the fire.
Cosido said someone may have thrown a lighted cigarette butt to the pile of Styropor which caused the fire./CORRESPONDENT NORMAN V. MENDOZA
