Robbers after bike shoot owner dead

A man, 25, was killed by armed robbers who took his motorcycle Friday afternoon in a Quezon City subdivision, police said. Richard Cruz sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead on arrival at Bernardino Hospital in Novaliches. Another motorcycle rider told police that he saw two men block Cruz’s path around 2:30 p.m. on a street inside Rockville 1 Subdivision in Barangay San Bartolome. As he continued on his way, the witness then heard a gunshot, looked back and saw Cruz already down on the ground. He said one of the robbers then fired two more shots at their victim, before speeding away on Cruz’s motorbike.  Julie M. Aurelio
