MAN DIES IN ROAD MISHAP
A 59-YEAR-OLD man was killed after the motorcycle he was driving was sideswiped by a truck in barangay Pitogo, Consolacion town, northern Cebu.
Alfredo Bellones, a resident of barangay Bulacao, Talisay City, was declared dead at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City.
Police said the victim was not wearing a helmet during the accident.
Police said the truck loaded with sacks of rice was driven Victoriano Binalayo, a 28-year-old resident of barangay Bulacao, Talisay City.

2 MEN FALL IN BUY-BUST
POLICE arrested two men in a drug buy-bust operation in barangay Lahug, Cebu City.
Oliver Romano Jr., 36, and Paul Reyes, 32, allegedly sold a pack of suspected shabu worth P200 when they were arrested by operatives of the City Anti-Illegal Drug special Operation Task Force early morning Thursday.
PO2 Arnold Cabildo said nine sachets believed to contain shabu were recovered from the two after the arrest.
Romano told police that they were just newbies and small-time pushers.
