A day after he was kidnapped by four armed men, Jefferson delos Santos, 17, was found dead in a vacant lot in Payatas B, Quezon City Thursday morning.
Case investigator PO2 Anthony Tejerero said the teenager had several puncture wounds in the chest, presumably from an ice pick, and a gash at the back of his head. He also had bruises all over his body.
Tejerero said the armed men took the victim around 10 p.m. on Wednesday while in the company of his employer, Ariel Concepcion.
Concepcion hired Delos Santos to help him harvest vegetables planted on the Banco Filipino-owned vacant lot where he was found later by his mother.
Concepcion said he was with the victim on his jeep Wednesday when four men armed with handguns blocked the vehicle.
One of the men trained a flashlight on Concepcion, making him unable to recognize the suspects.
After they found out Delos Santos’ identity, the victim was dragged out of the vehicle. One of the men then warned Concepcion to leave.
Concepcion informed the victim’s parents about the abduction, prompting an all-night search for the boy.
The victim appeared to have no known enemies in the community, although police said they would check records in the barangay for leads.
