In 2012, the Philippine National Police conducted around 7,170 antismuggling and antipiracy operations in the country, which resulted in the confiscation of an estimated P46 million worth of smuggled and pirated goods, according to its latest annual accomplishment report.—Schatzi Quodala, Inquirer Research
