MANILA, Philippines — Poll fraud whistleblower, Police Senior Superintendent Rafael Santiago Jr., has only until Tuesday to report for work at Camp Crame, Philippine National Police chief Director General Raul Bacalzo said.
Santiago should report at the PNP Directorate for Operations in Camp Crame, where he was assigned following his relief from being the director of the Zambales police, said Bacalzo. But the officer remains unaccounted for until today, he said.
The PNP chief said that should Santiago fail to show up within the day, he will be considered AWOL and will be dropped from police rolls.
Santiago recently exposed the switching of election returns during the 2004 presidential polls to ensure the victory of former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
