Tabogon farmer slits father’s neck
AN ex-convict died after his 54-year-old son slit his neck in barangay San Isidro, Tabogon town, northern Cebu.
Police said the head of the victim was almost severed.
The victim’s son, a farmer, did not resist when police arrested him past 6 p.m. last Saturday.
The victim was upset at his son whom he accused of sleeping with his wife, Insp. Welther Grapa, chief of police of Tabogon, said.
The victim was jailed in 1996 after he was found guilty of raping and molesting the suspect’s three children.
The victim was released from The New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City Jail after he was included in the amnesty program under the administration of former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

When he couldn’t find his son, he went wild by hacking the windows and the walls of his son’s house.
Police said the suspect learned that his father was looking for him.
Police said the suspect hid in a secluded area just outside his house while waiting for his father leave.
As the father was about to step out of the house, his son hit him with a piece of wood.
The son then hacked his father with a scythe before slashing his neck, police said.
The victim was still brought to the hospital but died along the way, police said.
