17 finalists qualify for search for outstanding students

AFTER a screening process in Tagbilaran City, Bohol last April 6, 17 finalists have qualified to the regional search of the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP).

The 17 finalists who will represent their respective schools during the TOSP region 7 Formation Week on May 15-19 in Tagbilaran City are: Jerald C. Ambe from the University of San Jose-Recoletos, Maximo J. Limbaga Jr. from the University of Bohol, Cherry Mae B. Gumapac from Silliman University, Eduard Joseph V. Narciso from St. Paul University Dumaguete, Jenith Brene E. Corpis from Negros Oriental State University Main Campus in Dumaguete, Raymart G. Aurora from the University of San Carlos, Von Jovi B. Biala from Foundation University in Dumaguete, Stephen Bryan Y. Bongcaras from Holy Name University Tagbilaran, Jhanika Rafelle C. Almazan from Saint Theresa’s College, Sonny O. Boquecosa from the University of San Carlos, Elinore Jean A. Malagar from the University of San Jose-Recoletos, Sean Timothy F. Salvador from University of the Philippines-Cebu, Robbie Austen M. Vailoces from Foundation University, Christine Abigail P. Andoy from Holy Name University, Krizia A. Magallanes from Silliman University, Mary Lourdes L. Melloria from Cebu Normal University and Jenifer A. Robles from Bohol Wisdom School.

The top 17 regional finalists were chosen by a pool of screeners from various fields of specialization.

TOSP region 7 is an annual search that recognizes students in the region who excelled in academics, leadership and social responsibility.

In addition, this program aims at establishing role models who will galvanize our young people into action and help bring about total human and economic development in the nation.
