Las Piñas cops release composite photo of sisters’ gunman
MANILA, Philippines—Police have released a computer-generated image of the suspect in the murder of a businesswoman in Las Piñas City on Sunday morning.
The unidentified man is being hunted for the ambush of Guilma Bathan, 52, of Camella Homes Bacoor City in Cavite, and the wounding of her sister Maria Victoria Rendor, 42, of Barangay San Nicolas Dos, Bacoor.
Bathan and Rendor were riding their car on Pilar Road in Barangay Almanza Uno, on their way to a plastics family business in Doña Josefa Village Sunday morning, when the assailant on a black motorcycle cut in front of them and opened fire with a 9mm gun, said case investigator Police Officer 2 Christian Yanga of the Las Piñas police.
Bathan succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds, while Rendor survived a bullet to the back and right arm.
The composite image was based on Rendor’s description of the gunman–medium-built, dark-skinned in his early 30s and wearing a black jacket and black pants.
