Woman, son stabbed by neighbor in Talisay

A 15-YEAR-OLD boy stabbed a 41-year-old woman and her 19-year-old son who allegedly attacked his mother in barangay Lawaan III, Talisay City, southern Cebu.

The boy was arrested by barangay tanods after Monday night’s incident and was turned over to the social workers.

Maria Sadagnot sustained stab wounds in the back while her son Joshua was wounded in the chest.

Police said the boy’s family and the Sadagnots have been at odds. Police said there were reports that the two families were badmouthing each other.

Last Monday night, Maria and Joshua allegedly went to the house of the boy to confront his mother.

Police said Maria was allegedly armed with a knife when they barged into their neigbor’s house.

Police said Maria tried to stab the boy’s mother but neighbors arrived and pacified them.

Police said Maria and Joshua had just left their house but followed them outside and stabbed them with scissors./CORRESPONDENT GABRIEL C. BONJOC
