Jay Tolentino, the victim’s uncle whom he lives with, was quoted as saying that he doesn’t know of any possible reason that may have caused his nephew to commit suicide, adding that Daryl was a quiet type of person.

Lingcong said Daryl may have drank bathroom cleaning liquid and used a razor blade to slash his wrist following an inventory of the items recovered from the crime scene.

He also said that initial investigation didn’t indicate foul play.

The alleged suicide of Kristel Tejada, a Behavioral Science student from the University of the Philippines in Manila, made it to the headlines when it was reported that she took her own life because the university rejected a loan application that would have allowed her to re-enroll.
