Boy needs P4.5M for liver surgery
The parents of two-year-old Armand Gabriell Fulgencio, who was born with biliary atresia, may work in the country’s top banks but this does not mean that they have the P4.5 million needed for him to undergo a liver transplant.
Armand’s mother, Ma. Eleonora, is a cashier at Land Bank of the Philippines while his father, Armando, is an accounting staffer at Metrobank.
“We are mere ordinary employees who receive minimum wages. We have a child who needs a huge amount of money for his operation. We are asking for help from your readers,” Ma. Eleonora said.
Before they turned for help to the Inquirer, the couple had been trying to raise the amount on their own by selling shirts and raffle tickets.
According to her, doctors at The Medical City have said her son must immediately undergo a liver transplant to improve his chances of survival. The operation, however, has been indefinitely put on hold until she and her husband can come up with the money.
