DHAKA, Bangladesh—Searchers have found more victims from a ferry sinking in Bangladesh, raising the toll to 33.
Government official Helal Uddin said the ferry was salvaged and five bodies were recovered Friday when the search resumed.
The ferry carrying about 100 passengers sank Thursday in the River Meghna in Brahmanbaria.
The bodies of 28 people were found before the work stopped overnight.
Many survivors swam ashore after the accident, and the number of missing was uncertain.
The boat apparently capsized after hitting the wreckage of a sunken ferry in the river.
