SHS-AdC nails second win in Milo BEST Center caging

REIGNING champions Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu secured their second win in as many games in the Passerelle division of the ongoing Milo-backed BEST Center Twin Tournament after creaming the University of San Jose-Recoletos, 56-30, last Friday at the old SHS campus along Mango Avenue.

The Magis Eagles, already with four titles to their name in this tournament, actually started sluggishly, leading by just five, 16-11, after the first period. However, their vaunted defense kicked in as they held their opponents to just four markers in the ensuing canto to establish a 24-14 lead at halftime. From there on, it was on cruise-control for Ateneo de Cebu as they zoomed their way to the win. Big man Dawn Ochea and Jair Igna each had eight points to lead the Magis Eagles.
